Our services

Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the Alliance Hospice team works closely with patient and family to develop and coordinate an individual plan of care. Each member of the hospice team is specially trained in hospice care. The team members include:
- Medical Director: Oversees the medical plan of care and the hospice team.
- Patient's Physician: Continues to participate in developing an individual plan of care for the patient. Oversees medical regimen during entire course of treatment.
- Hospice Nurses: Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Provide palliative care focused on relieving pain and maintaining comfort. Regularly assess the patient's condition. Work with the physician to determine the most effective medications and treatments for pain and symptom management. Educate friends and family caregivers on basic medical information and ways to enhance support of the patient. Receive ongoing intensive education in pain/symptom management.
- Hospice Social Workers: Assist with referrals to various community resources and offer counseling about the impact of the illness on the patient and family.
- Hospice Spiritual Care Coordinators: Provide non-denominational spiritual support to the patient and family. Assist in the coordination of visits from local clergy if desired.
- Home Health Aides: Provide compassionate personal care and help with light housekeeping chores.
- Volunteers: Receive special training in ways they can assist patients and families �€“ running errands, household chores, or simply sitting with a patient.
- Therapists and Counselors: Provide consultation and education on speech, occupational, and physical therapies and nutritional counseling.
- Bereavement Counselors: Maintain contact with patient families and offer a variety of supportive activities for over a year after the patient's death.
- Other Services: Depending on the individual needs of each patient, Alliance Hospice may provide other services for the terminally ill patient, such as medications, supplies, medical equipment, respite care, short-term inpatient care, or short term in-home continuous care. Services range in duration in the terminal phase of their illness, ranging from days to months depending on the patient's condition. The Company's staff works with patients and their families from a few hours a week to 24-hours each day.
