A physician certifies the terminal illness and collaborates with the Alliance Hospice team for appropriate services, tailored to the patients needs and wishes. Many patients have cancer, but Alliance Hospice cares for those with any other terminal illness, including heart and lung disease, kidney disease, neurological disease, AIDS, Alzheimers, and other dementias. Family and friends also receive hospice care to help them support the patient and adapt to their loss. Alliance Hospice continues supporting families for over a year after the patients death.
